Just when you think you’re alone to practice your unicycle routine in peace, adoring fans start coming out of the wood works…
I’ve tried to ride a unicycle before, my buddy back in college used to ride one around…it’s not easy. Great way to impress the girls though (and little brothers too).

Oh, Ed, you precocious scamp you!
He is a silly one, he is…
I’m at work so the page loaded slowly.
The first thing I saw was the title. Then it started to load a bit, just their heads and the above, and I was like “predictable, he’s on a unicycle” It continued to load and I saw the words “ta da” and half sighed, thinking that this comic wont be all that funny.
Then Ed’s expression loaded and made it all worthwhile! :D You are amazing at drawing body language
Hah, glad I could pull that one out for you Nick. Sounds like it was a close call.
I hate page loads! My internet isn’t the fastest, so I am subject to waiting for pages to load, and whenever I have a visual gag in my comic, I hate the thought that the gag will be given away early by a slow-loading page.
An example: http://eqcomics.com/comics/a-wise-decision/
The guy in the last panel *is* the punchline, and I’m sure the surprise was given away before they even read the comic for a large chunk of readers.
Glad it ended up well here. Anyway, there was a rant for no reason, just venting, I guess.
yeah I hate that too! that’s part of the reason why my original webcomic was totally vertical, so the punchline wouldn’t be ruined by “reading ahead” but now I just save my strips as png8 files and they load pretty quickly :D
on another note, read Dan’s comic!
Ooh, PNG 8, huh? I’m currently doing JPEG. I might test that out…
This just gets funnier everytime I look at that last panel. Way to go!
heyy, thanks a bunch Rembrand ;)
I love Ed’s watery eyes…too cute! Also, I knew a guy in elementary school back in the early 90s who rode a uni and could do some pretty cool stuff for a 9 year old. Also my college band director can ride one. They do always get a great reaction.
thanks Dejah! aren’t (non clown) unicyclers the best?
I laughed, out loud. And then again. Ed’s anticipation in the third and excitement in the fourth panel are just awesome.
I definitely also lol’d.. and I still am. Thank you for bringing the funny. It’s definitely your expert portrayal of the expressions.
heh, glad I could bring a laugh to your day :D
WOW!!!! HOW DID HE DO THAT?!?!?!
eds expression COMPLETELY made my day lol =D
great!
awwww im late
I think the proper term is “pop a wheelie!” :D I haven’t popped a wheelie in decades!
My bro can ride a unicycle. Once, I asked him to ride it with no hands. He laughed so hard, he fell off, and then….he slugged me in the arm.
lol, “Look, no hands!” is an equally awesome thing to say while unicycling.
I had the exact same reaction as Ed.
this one’s my favorite pajama forest comic yet.
thanks! and grats on your new site as well :D
that was amazing!!! we miss you both here at south seminole!!!
I have similar experiences with my younger siblings.
This is soooooo recognizable. I rode 24″ BMX’s, I heard the line “do a wheelie” an insane amount of times. Love the comic btw!
This is, by far, the best comic I have read in a while.
… I’ve done that. :D
this is one of my favorites. stumbled
Man, I always love Ed’s expressions. Thumbs up.
(stumble) Did I win yet? :P
Stumbled.
I had this as my desktop picture for ages.
My sister didn’t get it…
Thumbed up!
This is my favorite strip!
Good work man. i wish this could somehowbecome a shirt and still keep the meaning. SOOO DOPE.
I regularly ride my unicycle and I get this comment all the time. Thanks for capturing it so well haha. :]
XD so funny, died laughing, it sounds like something i would say
Hi, i ride a unicycle. People always come up to me and say things like “your missing a wheel!”
you have a ren and stimpy style to your drawing. i see it in the guy in panel 3.
my brother rides a unicylce.
100% serious.
